His new show should be called “Stermann Sings,” because Stermann sang a few songs during his first, award-winning solo show, and he’s seen himself as part of the tradition of Lady Gaga and Roland Kaiser ever since. His agency, however, had “Stermann Sinks” printed on the posters because they feel his singing talent is more reminiscent of the Titanic. Furious, the artist takes the train to his first performance. His adopted homeland, Austria, flashes by outside the window, and his potential audience sits with him in the dining car of the “IC Österreich.” And when the ÖBB itself starts talking, either you’ve had one too many spritzers or you’re in the middle of Stermann’s new show.
