Christine Nöstlinger’s poetic miniatures illuminate life in Vienna’s public housing, beyond Viennese coziness, but with much sympathy for those who stand at the very bottom of the social ladder.

The two popular actors Ursula Strauss (Schnell ermittelt/Oktober November) and Christian Dolezal (Schlawiner/Copstories) read a “Best of” selection of these classics of Viennese dialect poetry in alternating roles and immerse themselves in the world of those for whom “nothing comes together,” yet who still get up almost every morning.

They are accompanied on the zither by the icon of old Viennese folk music, Karl Stirner, known for his performances with Walther Soyka and at the Burgtheater. That is quirky, sometimes a little morbid, but mostly very funny.
